There's something about brick walls that I can't seem to get enough of, it's almost like they bring a different level of character and story to photos. And so when Hector (Geek-Q), Kimmy (Hello Kim Win) and I decided to take pictures indoors after breakfast due to the rain outside, the décor and lighting in Homegrown transported our photographs to a little café somewhere in Europe. Am I the only one who gets that sense while looking at these pictures?! Anyway, sometimes shoots don't go as planned but hey, this worked out nicely.

Let's talk about the statement piece here - Mirina Collections was nice enough to send me their Audrina necklace, and initially I was hesitant about pairing a Mediterranean styled jewelry with a layered edgy look but recently I've been loving the slightest hint of juxtaposition. I'm a big fan of statement necklaces and the Audrina immediately drew me in. I love that statement necklaces are able to transform plain outfits to something special, regardless of the season. I've read mixed reviews about their necklaces to be honest, but so far I haven't had any issues with mine. In fact, I love it and can't wait to style it over the summer as well! Don't forget to check out their necklaces, and use the code "pikhena" to get 20% off!

I paired a hooded cape with the hat which for me was a bit of a risk but I love finding new ways to layer up. I find that layering is one of the easiest ways to generally enhance and play with your visual style! As summer's right around the corner, layering doesn't have to stop as you experiment with different materials, and textures, going lighter and lighter, until the warm weather is fully here.

Always remember - "Be kind; Everyone you meet is fighting their own battle".
