I am sipping on some coffee, on this mildly cold Saturday afternoon thinking about who I want to be this Fall. I can't believe it's almost September, summer literally flew by and I'm not so sure how I feel about that. Truth be told, I was all over the place with my summer style, with no cohesion whatsoever. Although I'm used to this being the case once in a while, especially because I'm drawn to different styles from whimsical to bohemian, this summer was different. Don't get me wrong, I still dressed up almost every day (I like to believe that has become intrinsically part of who I am), but I think part of the confusion had to do with the major transitions in different aspects of my life. This Fall however, I'm feeling more excited about figuring out my closet's theme and in doing so I stumbled into Giambattista Valli's 2016 couture show. I had seen a few of these pieces on Instagram earlier on, and I know I'm a little late to this party, but I had to share! His work leaves me in awe, and he's easily one of my favorite designers. I love that his work (especially this collection) always has such a romantic and storytelling flair to it. I love the lightness and effortlessness of each piece, they all have this certain je ne sais quoi that makes the collection so dreamy! From the puffy shoulders, to the embroidery, floral patterns.. I could go on and on!
Thought I'd share some of my favorites with you guys! Feel free to check out the full collection here. Happy Weekend!
