Early morning, my darlings - Hector of Geek-Q, Kimmy of Hello Kim Win and I set out on an ambitious blogger adventure to catch the cherry trees after they had reached full blossom at the University of Washington Campus and as soon as we got there, it felt like we had been transported into a dream! There's something about welcoming Spring with its splendor that reminds me about rebirth, renewal and growth and it was lovely goofing around and taking in the moment with these two.
I'm really excited about the Spring fashion trends this year and my goal is to work these trends into my personal style. I have bounced around a lot in the past year in an attempt to figure out what my visual style is and I think I've finally gotten a hold of it. Little advise here - If you're confused about what your style is, it is completely okay to experiment. You don't have to fit in one box! Keep an open mind while shopping and be daring! Try on cuts, colors and patterns you wouldn't usually go for, it's the curiosity that will help you discover. :)
I'm still working on this tip but it feels good knowing I'm making some progress. I got a short hairdo about a month ago, and to be honest I hated it the first few days. It just didn't feel like...me. I initially thought it was a little too edgy for most pieces in my closet, but it forced me to think outside the box. For example, I've never really been a "hat person", but I'm LOVING this one! It's been fun building most of my looks these days around this new look (which will most likely be switched up soon, stay tuned! :D).
What I love about this outfit is that it is a bold take on a floral look. I just love the juxtaposition of the floral dress and hat(and oxfords) and how well they complement each other!
